This movie looks good. I can't wait to see it on the big screen. Check out the trailer below.

Time Capsule is Now Shipping

Labels:

You may all know I am an avid mac head. So I was excited to see that they are finally shipping their new product call Time Capsule. Time Capsule is the companion to Leopards Time Machine. Time Machine is pretty nice, you just set up an external hard dive and it starts backing up your system. Check it out here. The nice thing about the Time Capsule is that it's a router with a server grade hard drive built into it for network back ups. The Time Capsule has 802.11n access point. You can check out all the details from Macworld here.

Business Ethics....Reality T.V.?

Labels:

Earlier this week, I posted a small rant about the show "The Moment of Truth." Most of you know that I don't particularly like reality t.v., but I do however like the Celebrity Apprentice. On one of the past shows two of the Celebrities got into a verbal fight...take a look.

Who do you think was in the wrong? I believe that in the real world both individuals would have been reprimanded. Now the questions that I have, do you think this was staged, or do you think this was real? Most people have enough scruples not to attack a persons family...Makes you wonder!

Get Smart

Labels: ,

Take a look at the new trailer for the movie "Get Smart."

Premise: Maxwell Smart (Steve Carell) is on a mission to thwart the latest plot for world domination by the evil crime syndicate known as KAOS. When the headquarters of U.S. spy agency Control is attacked and the identities of its agents compromised, the Chief (Alan Arkin) has no choice but to promote his ever-eager analyst Maxwell Smart, who has always dreamt of working in the field alongside stalwart superstar Agent 23 (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson).

I have heard people complaining that this didn't follow the T.V. show that well, but I still think that it looks like a decent movie. Steve Carell is a great actor and I for one will defiantly be seeing this movie.

USB Drive...Future of Computing?

Labels:

Do you remember 5.25 and 3.5 floppies. I think that we all can remember them. Now we have USB drives that are continually growing in memory size and shrinking in physical size. Now it looks like we are able to put more than just file on these.

"Laptop computers are shedding weight but they still weigh a few pounds and carrying them around on the shoulders is often very inconvenient.
Do you really need that notebook wherever you go? Not always.
For instance, you are traveling for a business conference or an Internet cafĂ© or a friend’s place that will definitely have spare computers but you need to carry the laptop just because it contains all your software programs, application settings and personal data (like docs, photos, music, videos, etc)." It's interesting to see where have been to where we are now. I will be interested in seeing where this technology lead us.

Circles: The Webseries

Labels:

Just a quick post about a web series. It called Circles.

"Circles" is a webseries that follows a group of characters as they approach their ten year high school reunion. As the event gets closer, they reflect on the past, and through flashbacks to their high school days... we get an idea of what each of them hopes to get out of the reunion.

It's pretty good, you should check it out. I've posted the first episode here, but you should check out the rest here. There is going to be 7 episodes for season one.

Stage 6 Closing!

Labels: ,

I found out about this yesterday and totally forgot to post this. A great site to watch movies and different show either from t.v. or from users, stage 6 is closing down on Thursday. This site had decent video and audio quality for the size of the video. Sadly they have stated that they have ran out of funds to keep the site going. For all of you at Stage 6, thank you for all the times you kept me entertained, we all will miss you!

Stage 6

Reality T.V., Have we gone to far?

Labels:

Many of you have probably heard of or have seen the show “The Moment of Truth.” I saw it for the first time the other day. I happened to watch episode 5 which was very controversial. It was interesting to see this, makes me wonder if we have gone to far?

For those of you who haven’t heard of or seen this show, it premise is that the host asks the contestant questions that they have already answered on a polygraph. Some of these questions can be very personal.

In this episode the contestant had her mother, father, sister, brother and husband. Some of the questions ranged from one end of the spectrum, (i.e. do you think you are a good person) to the other end (i.e. have you cheated on your husband.)

My question is have we gone to far for entertainment? Is this even considered entertainment, the humiliation of a person on television? I can remember family t.v. with Full House and Family Matters. I for one feel like my life has enough reality in it and don’t need a t.v. show to show me more.

Let me know what you think.
